We are constantly amazed by the skills, time and sheer hard work many individuals and groups put into raising funds for the many different projects the charity is involved with in Uganda.
On September 18th a fantastic group of big hearted people from Dove Nest Group, one of the charity’s business sponsors, and Nationwide Building Society, raised money for the next phase of the school building at Bombo by walking up Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England.
There were 21 walkers and Peter Gregson, one of them, writes: “The weather was terrible and we decided to take the shorter route from Wasdale, rather than the longer originally planned one from Langdale. The visibility was so poor, and the rain so heavy, that we reached the summit without having realised we had arrived! On the way down the clouds lifted and we enjoyed great panoramic views of Wastwater. Thank you to everyone from Dove Nest Group and Nationwide who supported the walk and raised so much money to help kids in Uganda get a good start in life”.
